On 23rd October 2018, the Scottish GO Awards celebrated the very best in the procurement industry.  As their nominated charity, The Realising Dreams Foundation took the opportunity to bring the work of our charity to life with speeches from two of our recent applicants – Jessica and Danny Robson – who are both rising stars in Scottish badminton. Their story was inspiring and struck a chord with the audience.

Realising Dreams has received an incredible £5,000 donation thanks to the support and generosity of the Government Opportunities (GO) awards who fundraise on our behalf at their annual awards dinners across the UK.

Their most recent events in Glasgow and Cardiff celebrated those individuals, teams and organisations that have gone above and beyond normal standards to make real differences to the quality of public services in the UK.

We are honoured that they have nominated us as their chosen charity.

This latest donation is an tremendous boost for our fundraising and will go along way to helping us reach even more talented young people who would struggle to realise their dreams without our support.

Over 500 representatives from across the country packed into the Manchester Hilton Deansgate earlier this month (March ’17) for the UK National Government Opportunities (GO) Awards.  Generous donations totalled £1496 for The Realising Dreams Foundation extending the funds to support talented young people.

This wonderful public procurement agency have long been supporters of our work. At each of their awards events (in Manchester, Glasgow and Cardiff) they nominate The Realising Dreams Foundation as their chosen charity.

In Manchester we also showcased our latest video featuring some of our successful applicants and how our support is helping them realise their dreams.

Huge thanks once again to the fundraising efforts of the employees from BiP Solutions.  We are extremely grateful to be their nominated  charity.  This latest ladies charity night was held in Glasgow in mid February.  Employees from across the company also supported through a raffle. In total they raised a wonderful £1,030!  Thank you all so much for your continued support.  We have been receiving some exciting new applications and look forward to supporting more young people to realise their dreams.  We couldn’t do it without your help!

An incredible donation of nearly £3,000 has been received by The Realising Dreams Foundation thanks to the amazing generosity of those attending The Government Opportunities Scotland awards event in Glasgow (11^th November 2016).

Celebrating success and recognising excellence are traits shared between our foundation and Government Opportunities (GO) who work alongside public sector procurement organsiations to share good practice and celebrate excellence.

Their national awards ceremonies are held in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow. We are very grateful they chose The Realising Dreams Foundation as their nominated charity.

By making a donation, guests were entered into a prize draw with a chance to win prizes including, a balloon ride for 2 people donated by Stannah, afternoon tea for 4 in Chats bar at the Glasgow Marriott hotel and a bottle of champagne.

The GO Awards held its first ever event in Cardiff recently to  recognise and celebrate success in procurement.

During their awards dinner, we were honoured to be their nominated charity, giving us the opportunity to spread the word about our work and invite donations.

For every donation made, guests were entered into a prize draw with the chance of winning either a Sunday lunch for two donated by the Marriott Cardiff or a Blue Letter day experience.

We are grateful for the generosity of guests who together helped us to raise a further £777 for The Realising Dreams Foundation.  Thank you all so much!

Our prime sponsors – BiP Solutions – hosted a charity Psychic Night in August and raised a wonderful £385 for our foundation.
The charity team at BiP Solutions (a leading provider of procurement support to public and private sectors) believe very strongly in the importance to give back.

The company believe that good procurement can create real social benefit. But they go a step further through the work of their charity committee who organise regular charitable and fun events for employees.

Wonderful evening for The Realising Dreams Foundation at last night’s Government Opportunities (GO) Awards. It was our first national event to help spread the word about the work of our charity. Our presentation was well received and encouraged donations which totalled nearly £2,800! We are touched by everyone’s generosity and know it will help us make a difference to the lives of even more children.

REPSOL Nuevas Energias UK Limited have presented The Realising Dreams Foundation with a cheque for Euro 4,000 (c. £2,820) after a marathon fundraising effort by its employees at this year’s Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF) in May 2015.
